5 Ways to Improve Your Balance

Improving Your Balance - Tips

I don’t know anyone who enjoys losing their balance and falling on their face! Doing Yoga can really help you improve your balance and flexibility, but not everyone likes yoga!

Of course, these things aren’t going to guarantee you to never ever fall again, but they sure can help reduce the risk of falling!

Below are the top 5 ways that can help you greatly improve your balance and decrease your chances of falling and humiliating yourself.

5. Find random objects you can stand on to practice balancing.

I wouldn’t suggest a Coca Cola bottle, but find a small chair or footstool that you can use to stand on one leg and balance. Maybe set it up next to your bed so you can have a soft landing if you fall.

4. Use your arms to help keep balance.

Sure you might look like a chicken flapping it’s wings, but at least you won’t be on the ground! Well.. you still might end up falling on the ground but holding your arms out can really help you keep your balance.

3. Use an exercise ball and practice balancing while  doing your exercises.

An exercise ball can be a lot of fun if you use it right. You can bounce around the house on your ball for fun after you’ve done your exercises.

2. Yoga is the best way to improve your balance.

It helps you be more flexible and it can also help you lose weight! That’s killing 3 birds with one stone!

1. Pay attention to your surroundings

The best way to keep yourself from falling down is to simply pay attention to your surroundings, your feet, and obstacles that could potentially cause you to fall down. Here’s one of my favorite videos of someone falling down. Try out some yoga, exercise, and pay attention and you will improve your balance in no time.
